Sarah and her schoolmates got in trouble in Spanish class for making too much noise. For that, they each had to write (in Spanish) their plans for the summer. Sarah wrote, "Este verano voy a la cárcel." (This summer, I am going to prison.)

A few weeks ago, the fourth graders went on a field trip to the National Zoo with their Kindergarten Buddies. Emily has been gushing about her cute little Buddy, M.J., since the beginning of the school year. I've asked Sarah several times about her Buddy, and finally she admitted she doesn't know her Buddy's name.
Emily and Sarah painted their faces red and white before a Washington Nationals baseball game. Tim took them to the game. He did not paint his face.

Emily and Sarah earned $20 each for working at 4-year old neighbor Helen's birthday party last weekend. There were pony rides, a petting zoo, and an Ice Cream Truck (not this one) arrived at the end of the party with treats for all of the guests. Before you make jokes about Sarah and Emily picking up pony patties, that wasn't part of their job(s). They helped with face painting, bubbles, and cleaning up guests before their parents showed up.
The Jamestown Elementary School Chorus, Instrumental, and Orchestra groups won First Place at the Music in the Parks competition at Hershey Park last Friday. I heard the students perform earlier in the week, and they were just fabulous!
