As I suspected, Sluggie the Slug escaped in late August and curled up on a decorative pillow in Sarah and Emily’s bedrooom, where I found him Saturday in a pile of stuffed animals. He was much smaller and very crusty.
Kindergarten is big news. Sarah is in Ms. Scallon’s class; Emily is in Mr. Turner’s class. Emily says she is “shy” around Mr. Turner because she’s “never had a boy teacher before.” The girls LOVE the library and the food at school. Oh, and the drinking fountain.
The girls are taking art lessons on Saturday mornings. The first week they painted circles. This week they concentrated on squares and making cubes. Sarah and Emily both love to paint.
