There's a chill in the air, and it's not the weather. There's some discord at home, with Sarah's boy friend Andy* coming between the girls. Andy professed his love for Sarah twice last week during playtime at his house. Under normal circumstances, this would be typical first grade love story, but Emily doesn't like Andy. Last week, Emily asked Sarah, "Why do you like
Andy? He's so loud." Sarah responded, "You KNOW I can't answer that question."
Sarah's new friend Nigel* found a way to her heart by giving her money at the book fair last week so she could buy more trinkets than Emily. Nigel also drew Sarah a colorful picture of a bird. She made him a Thanksgiving card. (Insert clever plot device here.)
With the change in the weather, we've been spending more time indoors. On Sunday evening, Sarah created and produced a puppet show, starring Henry Huggins, a bear in a clown outfit. The plot began with a forced marriage between King Lion and Princess Elephant and ended with a classroom scene and a giraffe teacher who delighted in giving pop quizzes.
